About Camp

your voyage starts now

We believe many of life’s most pivotal moments begin at summer camp—from first swims to lifelong friendships. These experiences launch each camper’s journey, which is why our mission is for every child to embark on life’s voyage.

Our Approach

Our approach blends fun and structure to help children ages 3–15 build social skills, teamwork, and life lessons beyond the classroom. Rolling River’s family-style environment and attentive leadership ensure each child’s individual needs are met, while a wide range of arts, athletics, aquatics, and free-play activities creates a well-rounded summer experience.

We maintain the highest standards of safety and quality, with annual Nassau County Board of Health inspections, full American Camp Association accreditation, and membership in the Long Island Camps and Private Schools Association—reflecting our commitment to excellence and best practices.

Our Programs

Our structured programming is thoughtfully divided into age-appropriate divisions that align with each stage of development: the Skippers (ages 3-5), Mariners (grades 1–4), Navigators (grades 5–8), and CITs or Counselors-in-Training (grades 9–10).

Our Lower Camp divisions provide a nurturing, supportive environment where campers feel comfortable trying new activities, building confidence, and developing independence at their own pace. Upper Camp divisions offer greater choice, leadership opportunities, and exciting off-campus trips that encourage growth and responsibility.
